Influenza Vaccine

Vaccination Information

Patients can request an infuenza vaccine during an office visit or at your local pharmacy.

The infuenza vaccine is recommended yearly for everyone 6 months of age and older as the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease.

**Influenza vaccination is first available to high risk individuals.  High risk individuals are considered to be:

  • All pregnant women

  • People age 65 or older, all children 6 - 59 months of age

  • All Indigenous people

  • Adults or children with chronic health conditions

  • Individuals capable of transmitting influenza to those at high risk

  • People who provide care to children less than 59 months of age

Vaccinations for all other patients will take place November through December.

It is extremely important, with the current viral pandemic, that all individuals consider vaccination for influenza.
